PASTOR’S PAGE

Amy and I are so excited to potentially partner with your Church. It was through a missionary presenting in my church as a teenager that my desire and interest in missions began. We believe that this season of deputation is an opportunity to spread a passion for missions to churches across the continental United States. We are excited for our kids to see how God is working in the various churches we attend.

Our desire during our time at your church is to be servants and to help out where we can. We would be interested in speaking to any groups we could be a help to, but we have a couple of areas where we feel we could be a blessing in a unique way outside of our mission’s presentation.

We have been blessed to have lived in Guam for the last 13 years. This has allowed us to be around missions in a unique way. We would love the opportunity to sit down with any in your congregation (kids, teens, or adults) to allow them to ask questions and seek counsel on topics such as the call to go and the next steps to take.

We also feel that our time communicating to your Church body should be centered on Missions. After all, we are missionaries J

MISSIONS ENCOURAGEMENT

GUEST SERVICES SEMINAR

While serving at Harvest Ministries, my wife Amy and I grew fascinated with guest services and how valuable the time we spend with church guests really is. Many churches invest thousands of dollars into training their people for evangelism but make guest services and follow-up an afterthought.

Studies are fascinating as they tell us that only 15% of guests will return to a church if they don’t feel cared for during their first visit. If cared for properly, that number jumps to a staggering 55%.

We would like to provide a 3-hour seminar (Fits best on Saturdays or Sundays) for your hospitality or welcome teams. If you don’t currently have one, we would love to sit down with those in your church who are burdened about starting one. We will cover such topics as…

  • The new front door (What are guests looking for on your website?)

  • The most important 7 minutes (Most guests know if they will come back within the first 7 minutes.)

  • Are you new here and other things not to say… (Terminology)

  • Think like a guest (Look for the why of their visit and how you can help.)

  • Get the card (Why the guest card is crucial)

  • Proper follow-up

GARY WALTON

Senior Pastor at sending Church Harvest Baptist Church

Dear Ministry Friends,

We are thrilled to ask you to join with us in helping to get the Bryan Lenartz family to Japan as soon as possible. The need in Japan is great and the workers are few (Matthew 9:37)

Bryan and Amy are a prime ministry couple.  Together, they have proven themselves faithful as servants and leaders.  Bryan has a shepherds heart, a genuine love for people and a creative mind that has been used of God to minister very fruitfully in the varied culture and ethnicities that make up the island of Guam.  Amy is gifted with a servants heart and a genuine compassion for people that is lived out every day.  Our church has watched God grow their gifts over the last 13 years and we believe that He has uniquely equipped them for fruitful and lasting gospel effectiveness among the Japanese people.

Over the past 18 months, I have witnessed God use Bryan and Amy’s present ministry of personal outreach and family hospitality, along with their desire to expand their cross cultural effectiveness here on Guam, to grow a burden for the desperately needy country of Japan, just a little over 3 hours to our north.   As God began confirming this call in their lives, our church leadership committed to a season of Acts 13 prayer and fasting, ultimately affirming both their qualifications for this life journey and God’s hand of leading in their lives.

In this packet, you will see a picture of the preparation that God has done.  I truly believe it is a unique story that will allow the Lenartz family to adjust quickly to Japanese culture and find unique effectiveness there.

Please let me know if there are any questions I can help answer.  We would be honored to partner with you in helping this special family get launched “from Guam to Japan”.

For the cause, Gary Walton

MARTY HERRON

“I have known Bryan and Amy for many years. We first had them come out to Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and have seen them grow in their level of maturity and ministry. They came in as two single, committed workers, and later married and began having children, adopting children, and expanding their responsibilities in the church ministry.

I appreciate Bryan’s faithfulness, initiative, creativity, and willingness to serve in whatever capacity asked. We know that God will continue to use them in the mission field of Japan”

SAM HORN

I have had the wonderful joy of watching God develop Bryan into a choice servant for the advance of the Gospel and for service in the Church.  I met Bryan while he was a college student and was immediately impacted by his zeal for the Lord and his passion to share the gospel with those who did not know Christ.  As I got to know Bryan, I was impacted by both his humility and teachability.  I saw God use Bryan to impact people in the church where he served as well as in the lives of college students and young adults.

It came as no surprise that God would assign him to serve on Guam at Harvest ministries in the school, in the discipleship ministries of the church, and in local gospel evangelism.  What Bryan preached and ministered in public was modeled at home first as a husband and then as a dad.

The word that comes immediately to mind when I think of Bryan is “faithfulness.”  And so, I have no doubt that what I have experienced first hand and witnessed from afar will continue to be his life pattern in this new assignment God has given to him and his family.”

BRIAN TRAINER

With great enthusiasm, I recommend Bryan and Amy Lenartz as missionaries to Japan. I have watched Bryan grow in his love for God and people for the past fifteen years. As a university student, he modeled a passionate pursuit for ministry that was infectious to his peers. After his collegiate years, he committed to continuing his formal education while actively engaging in pastoral ministry. In thirteen years of pastoral ministry in Guam, Bryan and Amy have served in numerous roles evidencing a willingness to impact lives wherever God places them. Across all age groups, they engage in personal mentorship and connect biblical instruction with life. Within the community, they consistently and creatively take opportunities to build redemptive relationships with those in need of the gospel.

Serving on a multicultural island combined with multiple trips to Japan equipped the Lenartz’s for the challenges of ministry in Japan. They know the need for endurance, consistency, and the building of life-on-life relationships. The Lenartz family will be faithful ambassadors of the gospel message for the praise of God’s glory.

JARED BALDWIN

I have known Bryan and Amy Lenartz as friends and co-laborers. for over a decade. We served side by side in our local church. Together, they leveraged their gift of hospitality with their burden for discipleship to minister to many people. He is a skilled teacher, preacher, counselor, and shepherd. They both exhibit servant leadership and I am thrilled that they have been called to serve in Japan.

“I have known Bryan Lenartz for almost 20 years. Even as a young teenager who had just trusted in Jesus, Bryan had a passion for God and for the lost.

I had the joy of watching him grow into a man of God serving in Guam on the pastoral staff at Harvest Baptist church.  He and Amy have continued with that same passion for God and love for people. I am confident that God is going to continue to use them in Japan in a mighty way.”
